Terms of service

Last updated 23 October 2026

Bolt Studio and boltstudio.io are provided by Adamson Ventures LLC (“we”, “us”). These terms apply when you create an account, subscribe, or use the Bolt Studio app, command line or MCP server. By doing any of those, you agree to them. If you use Bolt Studio for a company, you agree for that company too. The privacy page explains what we do with your data.

Early access

Bolt Studio is in early access and changes often. Features may be added, changed or removed, some things described on this site are not released yet, and you will run into bugs. Your subscription covers what is available while you are subscribed.

Your account

Give us accurate details and keep your sign-in to yourself. An account is for one person. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what an AI client you connect does with it. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.

Subscription and price

  • Bolt Studio Pro costs US$150 a month.
  • If you subscribe while the early-access offer is open, you pay US$50 a month for as long as that subscription stays active, and we will not raise that price. If you cancel and subscribe again later, the price at that time applies.
  • Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
  • Prices do not include tax. Any sales tax, VAT or GST is worked out and shown at checkout.
  • If we change any other subscription price, we will email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect, and you can cancel before then.

Payments

Stripe sells Bolt Studio subscriptions for us through Link, acting as the merchant of record. That means Stripe takes your payment and handles the tax, your receipts come from Link, and the charge on your card statement starts with LINK.COM. Link’s terms apply to the payment itself, and Link’s support can help with payment questions: Sold through Link help. Checkout may show the price in your local currency.

If a renewal payment fails, you keep access for seven days while it is retried. After that, access pauses until the payment goes through. While a chargeback or payment dispute is open, access is paused; if the dispute is decided against us, the subscription ends.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel any time: sign in, go to Account and open billing (Manage billing), or use your Link account. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not refund partial periods, except where the law requires it. Stripe may also issue a refund under its own policy in some cases within 60 days of a payment.

Using the software

While your subscription is active, we give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for one person to use Bolt Studio. You may not resell or share access, copy or redistribute the software, or try to get around its licence checks. Bolt Studio includes third-party open-source components, such as ngspice, under their own licences.

Don’t use Bolt Studio or this site to break the law, or to attack, overload or probe our servers.

Your work

Your projects, designs and results are yours. They stay on your computer, and we claim no rights in them. Keep your own backups.

Your AI client

Bolt Studio contains no AI and sells no AI usage. You choose whether to connect your own AI client, such as Claude or Codex, and that client, its provider’s terms and its fees are between you and that provider. Whatever your agent reads from a design goes to that provider. Review the changes an agent makes before you rely on them.

Engineering results

Bolt Studio reports modeled results, such as simulations, field solutions and design checks, against the requirements you set. A model is only as good as its inputs and assumptions, and a passing check does not mean a design is correct, safe or compliant. Results are not a substitute for professional engineering review, prototype testing or certification. Validating your design before you build, sell or rely on it is your responsibility.

No warranty

Bolt Studio and this site are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that they are fit for a particular purpose, accurate, uninterrupted or free of errors.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost data, or the cost of hardware, prototypes or rework, and our total liability for all claims about Bolt Studio combined is limited to the greater of US$100 and the fees paid for your Bolt Studio subscription, including through Stripe and Link, in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Ending these terms

You can stop using Bolt Studio and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we ever stop offering Bolt Studio, we will tell you in advance and stop charging you.

Changes

If these terms change, we will update this page and the date at the top, and email subscribers about changes that matter before they take effect. Continuing to use Bolt Studio after that means you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep any protections the law where you live gives you.

The whole agreement

These terms, with the privacy page, are the whole agreement between you and us about Bolt Studio. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
